First day at A4HC and for the Community which provides a youth program to meet the needs of Newcomers to this City. I can see after I dance my way through the events of the day where is Edmonton is it here in the community does it have waves to hold us in it’s embrace? Am I moving or attempting to move a little when I look at where we go to recreate with the others the first place is the river valley, the place has some great views. Our River valley in Edmonton is a peaceful place and I hope the day was a good one for a new beginning as those who will be able to see the river are new to these experiences. EPCOR Riverfest is this August 10, 2019 and Edmonton can be a fun adventure for those who have never been on the river.
North Saskatchewan River Heritage Designation on Sept 12, 2024
From the initiative of the local Smoky Lake community and their partners, a quote “Last week, on Sept 12, we celebrated the unveiling of two commemorative plaques (in Cree/Nêiyawak, Blackfoot/Niitsitapi, French and English), which honor the designation of the North Saskatchewan River in Alberta as a Canadian Heritage River (Canadian Heritage Rivers / Rivières du patrimoine canadien), which was announced by the Province (YourAlberta (Government of Alberta), Minister Rebecca Schulz) and the Government of Canada (Parks Canada Minister Steven Guilbeault) on March 22nd 2024 (World Water Day). 🇨🇦 Thank goodness Métis Crossing so graciously hosted us indoors (🌧️)!
